4.3 Changing the version of system software using CD-R disc
<Upgrading>
1. Turn the DVD player on.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE switch on DVD player to open the tray, place the CD-R disc for upgrading on the tray, and close
the tray.
3. The DVD player will start to play automatically: After 30 seconds, the tray will automatically open. If upgrading is NG, the
tray will open and close repeatedly, and then finally open.
4. Remove the CD-R disc from the tray.
5. Unplug the power cord of player from AC outlet, and then plug it in again.
6. Turn the player on: The tray will automatically close.
7. Make sure that the software written to the player is the same as that stored in the CD-R disc used for upgrading.
<Downgrading>
1. Turn the DVD player on.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE switch on DVD player to open the tray, place the CD-R disc for upgrading on the tray, and close
the tray.
3. Cause "No play" to appear in the display.
4. While holding down the SKIP<< button, hold down the POWER button for 5 seconds, to display the version of software.
5. While holding down the SKIP<< button, also hold down the POWER button for 5 seconds, and then release both.
6. The player will play automatically: After 30 seconds, the tray will automatically open.
Perform steps 4-7 in upgrading for check.
Note: Before upgrading, check the model, and use the disc for upgrading exclusively made for the model.
