Set the RINGER volume switch to H to increase, or to L to decrease the ringer volume in the handset. When set to OFF, the handset does not ring, and you cannot use the page/find/intercom feature from the base unit to the handset.Even if the RINGER volume switch is OFF, you can make calls from the handset.Do not change the position of the RINGER vol- ume switch during a conversation, otherwise the call will be disconnected.Set the DIAL MODE switch to TONE if your phone line has touch tone service. If it has rotary service, set the switch to PULSE. If you are not sure which service you have, please check with your local phone company.Set the RINGER volume switch to H to increase, or to L to decrease the ringer volume in the base unit. When set to OFF, the base unit does not ring.Even if the RINGER volume switch is OFF, a low paging beep will be heard.Slide the SPEAKER VOLUME control toward MAX to increase, or toward MIN to decrease the sound level in the base unit. For best results, leave it set toward the middle position.Extend the aerial of the base unit fully and vertically for the best performance.

SETTING THE SELECTORS
Screw them in completely so there is about a 3 mm (1/8") space between the wall and the screw.
Install screws into the wall so that they are in a straight line vertically, spaced 83 mm (3-1/4") apart.
Pull out the hook, in the direction indicated by the arrow, to create a handset hook.Insert the hooks on the upper part of the wall mount bracket into the openings of the base unit, and attach the hooks on each side of the wall mount bracket into the base unit.Connect the telephone line lead to the wall socket on the wall phone plate.Mount the unit on the wall phone plate so that the heads of the studs of the wall phone plate are inserted into the slots on the wall mount bracket. Then seat the base unit securely by pushing it down.When placing the handset on a wall mounted base, place it on the base as shown in the drawing. Do not place the handset with its keypad facing out when the base is mounted on the wall.
