Connecting the AC power leadPlug the AC power lead into a convenient AC socket, after any connections. Unplug the AC power lead from the AC socket if the unit will not be in use for a prolonged period of time.AC Plug Adaptoration
Check the setting of the AC voltage selector located on the rear panel before plugging the unit into an AC socket. If neces- sary, adjust the selector to correspond to the AC power voltage used in your area.Selector adjustment:Turn the selector with a screwdriver until the appropriate volt-age number appears in the window (110V, 127V, 220V or 230V- 240V AC).Notes:In areas (or countries) where an AC socket as shown in illus- tr is used, connect the unit using the AC plug adaptor supplied with the unit as illustrated. The AC plug adaptor is not included in areas where the AC wall socket and AC power plug can be directly connected (see illustration).

Connection to an AV amplifier,for an expanded systemDo not put a television (colour monitor) on this unit. Do not put this unit on a television (colour monitor). Keep the television (colour monitor) away from the speakers so that it is not affected by the magnet in the speakers. When the power to this unit is turned on during FM-AM reception, noise may be heard in the sound received. Noise bars may also appear on the TV screen. When this unit is not being used, disconnect the AC power lead.

Insert the connecting cables and plugs all the way in as far as they will go. Failure to connect them securely could result in static noise. When disconnecting the plugs, grab hold of the plugs themselves. Do not pull on the cables. The connections may vary according to the equipment to which this unit is connected, so refer to the operation manual of the equipment being used. Depending on the TV used, noise may be heard from the TV speakers. If this happens, reduce the TV volume.
