Replacement of Main Parts
3-1. General Information on Parts Replacement
3-1-1. Precautions
Before starting replacement, read the precautions as follows.
1. Power supply

(1) Be sure to turn the power off before starting replacement.
To avoid an electric shock or malfunction, always turn off the power before
performing a parts replacement.
Touching the transfer block while it is moving at a high speed will cause serious
injuries.
Before starting replacement, turn off the power as following the procedures in
Section 1-1 and Section 3-2 to 3-16.
(2) Be sure not to touch inside the console until turning off the power of UPS.
This system receives its power via the UPS. Therefore even if the power of the
console is turned off, the primary side power continues working and may cause
the risk of electric shock.
(For the procedures to turn off the power of UPS, refer to Section 1-1.)
2. Working with internal parts of consoles
. The consoles contain numerous bin assemblies and bin plate assemblies inside for
storing cassettes.
When replacing consoles, be careful not to damage the bin assembly (bin plate
assembly) by catching clothes on the reflector, etc.
The consoles also contain parts attached accurately, other than the bin assembly.
Be careful not to apply force onto these parts.
. When replacing parts inside consoles, be careful not to drop screws and small
parts. Malfunction or system failure will also occurs when these parts get inside
the driving sections. Do not leave screws which have dropped inside the console.
