Both the DVD recorder and the discs are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order for the disc to play. If the codes do not match, the disc will not play. The Region Number for this recorder is described on the rear panel of the recorder.

If disc space lacks or a signal for the prevention of copy is received during recording, recording will stop.If there is no free disc space even though the start time arrives or the disc is not recordable, recording will not operate. (You can record after replacing the disc.)
