7 Condensation ? Moisturemay form on theCD pickuplenswhen:
- The unitismoved from a coldspottoa warm spot
- The heatingsystem has justbeen turnedon
- The unitisused invery humid room
- The unitiscooled by an airconditioner
When thisunithas condensation inside,itmay notfunctionnor-
mally.Should thisoccur,leavethe unitfora few hours,thentryto
operateagain.
8 Wall or ceilingmounting ? The unitshouldnotbe mounted on a
wallorceiling,unlessspecifiedinthe OperatingInstructions.
Electric Power
1Power sources ? Connect thisunitonlytopower sources speci-
fiedinthe OperatingInstructions,and as marked on the unit.
2Polarization? As a safetyfeature,some unitsare equipped with
polarizedAC power plugswhich can onlybe insertedone way into
a power outlet.Ifitisdifficultor impossibletoinserttheAC power
plugintoan outlet,turntheplugoverand tryagain.Ifitstilldoes not
easilyinsertintotheoutlet,pleasecalla qualifiedservicetechnician
to serviceor replacethe outlet.To avoid defeatingthe safety
featureofthe polarizedplug,do notforceitintoa power outlet.
3AC power cord
- When disconnectingthe AC power cord,pullitout by the AC
power plug.Do notpullthecord itself.
- Never handle the AC power plugwithwet hands, as thiscould
resultinfireorshock.
- Power cords should be routed to avoid being severelybent,
pinched,orwalked upon. Pay particularattentiontothecordfrom
the unittothe power socket.
- Avoid overloadingAC power plugsand extensioncords beyond
theircapacity,as thiscould resultinfireorshock.
4Extension cord ? To help preventelectricshock, do not use a
polarizedAC power plug with an extensioncord,receptacle,or
otheroutletunlessthepolarizedplugcan be completelyinsertedto
preventexposure ofthe blades ofthe plug.
5When not inuse ? Unplug theAC power cordfrom theAC power
plugifthe unitwillnotbe used forseveralmonths or more. When
thecord isplugged in,a smallamount ofcurrentcontinuestoflow
tothe unit,even when the power isturnedoff.
Maintenance
Clean the unitonlyas recommended intheOperatingInstructions.
DamageRequiring Service
Have the unitsservicedby a qualifiedservicetechnicianif:
- The AC power cord or plughas been damaged
- Foreignobjectsor liquidhave gotteninsidethe unit
- The unithas been exposed to rainorwater
- The unitdoes notseem tooperatenormally
- The unitexhibitsa marked change inperformance
- The unithas been dropped, orthecabinethas been damaged
