Y Whenever connecting external equipment, first set the
VOLUME knob of the digital piano and the volumeDepending on the type of operation you want the
controller of the external equipment to relatively lowpedal (SP-3) to perform, connect the pedalOs cable to
volume settings. You can later adjust volume to the level

Connecting Headphones[Back Panel]
PEDAL jacks
Connect commercially available headphones to the
digital pianoOs PHONES jacks. This cuts off the built-
in speakers, which means you can practice even late
at night without disturbing others. To protect your
hearing, make sure that you do not set the volume
level too high when using headphones.

PEDAL connector
You can connect the optionally available Pedal Unit
(SP-30) to the PEDAL connector. You can then use theHeadphones
pedals for expression that is similar to that available
on an acoustic piano.
