MANUAL FOCUS
NOTE:
You should already have made the necessary viewfinder
adjustments (Z pg. 13). If you havenOt, do so before
continuing.
SELECT OPERATION MODE
1Set the Power Switch to OPRO.�.
ACCESS MENU SCREEN
2Press the Select Dial to display the Menu Screen.
ACCESS OFOCUS� MENU
3Move the highlight bar to OFOCUS� by rotating the
Select Dial, then press it.
ACCESS MANUAL FOCUS
4Rotate the Select Dial to move the highlight bar to
OMANU�, then press it. O � and O � appear. The
Select DialPower Switch
focus is locked at this point.
DisplayADJUST FOCUS
5To farther subject . . .
Menu Screen.... rotate the Select Dial upward. O � appears and

AUTO6Press the Select Dial. The Menu Screen reappears

with the highlight bar on ORETURN�.
CLOSE MENU SCREEN
7Press the Select Dial. The Menu Screen disppears and
EXIT
O� reappears to indicate the focus is locked.
NOTES:
cTo return to Auto Focus, select OAUTO� in step 4.Manual Focus Screen
cTo re-adjust Manual Focus, repeat the procedure from
step 2.
cBe sure to focus the lens in the maximum telephoto
position when you use the Manual Focus mode. If you
focus in on a certain subject in the wide-angle position,
sharply focused images cannot be obtained when
zoomed in because the depth-of-field is reduced at
longer focal lengths.
cWhen the focus level cannot be adjusted any farther or
closer, O � or O � will blink. |
