This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

Grip AdjustmentTripod Mounting
1) Separate the Velcro strip.Align the screw and camera direction stud on the
2) Pass your right hand through the loop and grasptripod with the tripod mounting socket Q. Then

Loading/Unloading A Cassette
Viewfinder Adjustment
1) Open the LCD monitor* fully and keep it aligned
1) Set the Power Switch @ to O Ã� or O Ã� whilevertically with the camera (do not tilt it at an
pressing down the Lock Button ! located on theangle). Slide EJECT ( until the cassette holder
switch.opens. Do not use force to open.
2) Turn the Dioptre Adjustment Control i until the2) Insert or remove a cassette. When inserting,
indications in the viewfinder are clearly focused.make sure the label is facing outward. F
appears when a cassette is loaded.
i3) Press the Close button u to close the cassette
holder until it locks into place. Close the LCD
monitor*.
YClosing the LCD monitor* while the cassette
holder is still open may cause damage to the LCD
180180Â°Â°monitor*.
YMake sure the erase protection tab is in the
position that allows recording. If not, slide the tab.
Some cassettes have removable tabs. If the tab
has been removed, cover the hole with adhesive
tape.
PAUSE
YThe cassette holder cannot be opened while the
camcorder is in the record mode or detached from
the power source.
