The system allows you to choose an alternative route to the same desti-
nation in one of the following four ways.Avoid Streets
A search is made for a route that detours specified streets.

Select [Detour] by moving the joystick,
ENTER
A search is made for routes other than that displayed. Up to three routesand press ENTER .
can be searched for, including the one currently displayed.
Press POP UP .
POP UPSelect [Avoid Streets], and press
ENTER .
Select [Detour] by moving the joystick,a The [Choose Streets to Avoid] menuENTER
and press ENTER .ENTERopens, showing a list of street names.
Select the streets you want to avoid.
Select [Alt Route], and press ENTER .

Detour xxKm
A search is made for a route that detours the original route by a distance
you specify. To specify the distance, see page 50.Via Point
Press POP UP .POP UPA search is made for a route that takes you to multiple destinations, or via
points. You can specify up to five via points.
Entering 1 Via Point
Select [Detour] by moving the joystick,
ENTERPress POP UP .
and press ENTER .

Select [Detour xxKm], and pressSelect [Detour] by moving the joystick,
and press ENTER .
