Contents of Limitation
(1) Limitation of print function
#Applicable printer emulations are PCL5e and PostScript (Level 2).
Windows 98/Me/2000 is not available operation for PostScript emulation.
$When using the parallel port and Ethrnet at the same time, select Job Completion
detection (PCL) in the parallel menu and select ?Yes? for Digital Copier.
%Complicated originals such as graphics may not print, entirely.
In this case, change the resolurtion to 300 dpi or install optional hard disk (FA-HD13/
HD14)
(2) Paper size limitations:
#Paper size and paper tray
Unsupported paper size is selected, it must be used through the bypass tray.
Face down printing of unsupported paper size is not allowed.
$Paper rotation is only available when automatic paper selection is selected.
%Precautions for filing and/or making security print.
Paper size can only be selected by the original key in the control panel of the
digital copier.
(3) Limitations for each OS
#Windows
CMSExcel may divide the print job when selecting [Entire Book]. The staple, punch,
duplex, DD filing, N in 1 and Booklet may not print properly.
CPlease select [Time out setting] of parallel port as [0] if print job stops in the middle of
run or the image cuts off with parallel connection.
CLotus AmiPro can only use with Windows 3.x.
CThe PPD file is necessary when printing from PageMaker.
Please use General PPD file that comes with PageMaker, however the unique
function will not be available.
CPlease [Login] with authorized user name such as [PowerUsers] or [Administrators]
when [DD filing], [Security Print] or [Image Overlay registration] setting required.
CPCL5e is the printer language for Hewlett Packard corporation.
