This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

Funci?n 16:9
Las im?genes que usted recibe pueden transmitirse en el formato 16:9 (pantalla panor?mica) o 4:3
(pantalla tradicional). Las im?genes 4:3 tienen a veces una banda negra en la parte superior e inferior
(formato cinemascope). Esta funci?n le permite eliminar las bandas negras y optimizar la visualizaci?n
de las im?genes en la pantalla.
Si su televisor tiene formato de pantalla 4:3
Pulse el bot?n p (o Ã®I) para seleccionar los siguientes modos:
4:3
la imagen se reporoduce en formato 4:3
EXPANDIR 4:3
La imagen se amplia verticalmente.Este modo de expansi?n es el recomendado para
eliminar las franjas negras que se ven cuando se emite un programa en formato letterbox
COMPRIM. 16:9
La imagen se comprime verticalmente para recuperar el formato 16:9
Si su televisor tiene formato de pantalla 16:9
Pulse el bot?n p (o E?) para seleccionar los siguientes modos:
El televisor est? equipado con una conmutaci?n autom?tica que descodifica la se-al
espec?fica emitida por ciertos programas y selecciona el correcto formato de pantalla.
4:3
La imagen se reproduce en formato 4:3;aparece una banda negra a cada lado de la
imagen.
EXPAND 14:9
La imagen se ampl?a al formato 14:9;sigue habiendo una peque-a banda negra a cada
lado de la imagen.
EXPAND 16:9
La imagen se ampl?a al formato 16:9. Se recomienda este modo para visualizar las
im?genes con banda negra en la parte superior e inferior (formato cinemascope).
ZOOM CON SUBTITULOS
Este modo se utiliza para visualizar una imagen en 4:3 a toda pantalla, realizando una
ampliaci?n progresiva , pero permitiendo la visualizaci?n de los subt?tulos.
SUPER ANCHA
Este modo permite visualizar las im?genes 4:3 en toda la superficie de la pantalla
ampliando los extremos de la imagen.
SE?AL 16:9
Este modo permite restaurar las proporciones de las im?genes que se transmiten
en formato 16:9.
Nota:Si se desea visualizar con una imagen 4:3,se estira horizontalmente.
PANTALLA COMPLETA
Este modo permite visualizar las im?genes en pantalla completa.
