BEFORE CALLING SERVICE
Below is a list of frequently occurred symptoms. Before you call for service, make these simple
checks. Some of these symptoms can easily be rectified if you know what to do.

No powerY Check the TVOs AC power cord is plugged into the mains
socket. If there is still no power, disconnect plug. Wait for
60 seconds and re-insert plug. Switch on the TV again.
No pictureY Check the antenna connection at the rear of the TV.
YTry another channel to confirm whether it is a particular
TV station problem or otherwise.
Good pictureY Try increasing the volume.
but no soundY Check that the sound is not muted. If it is muted, press the
Mute button on the remote control to restore sound.
Good sound but poorY Try increasing the contrast and brightness setting.
colour or no picture
Snowish picture and noiseY Check antenna connection at the rear of the TV.
Horizontal dotted linesY Possible electrical interference e.g. hairdryer, vacuum cleaner,
etc. Switch off appliances.
Double images orY Possible poor positioning of antenna. Using a highly directional
OGhost� imagesantenna may improve reception.
TV not responding toY Aim remote control handset directly at remote control sensor
remote control handsetlens on the TV.
Y If still not responding, check whether plastic insulation sheet
is removed and the battery is not placed correctly (words on
battery facing you).
YTry changing the battery.
Incorrect Display positionY Adjust the image position using the Horizontal Position and/or
(PC mode)Vertical Position in the PC Mains Controls menu.
No Video InputY Make sure the monitor cable is properly connected to the PC
(PC Mode)input (VGA/DVI) at the bottom of the TV.
Y Check whether the monitor cable has bent pins.
Vertical flicker appearsY Try eliminating the vertical bars by using the Clock Adjustment
(PC Mode)Adjustment of Video Noise in the Main PC Menu.
Horizontal flicker appearsY Try eliminating the horizontal bars by using the Phase.
(PC Mode)Adjustment of Video Noise in the Main PC Menu.
Screen too bright or darkY Try adjusting the contrast and brightness in the Main Menu.
(PC Mode)
Cannot access FM radioY Check whether the connection from FM Antenna socket to
(FM Radio Mode)the FM Radio mains is done correctly.
