I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

Talk about a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!! This schematic will also work for the Radio Shack DX-392. This is the full blown service manual complete with alignment instructions, schematics, and parts lists.

basic functions
playing a disc
with this set you can play
all pre-recorded audio cds
all Å¢nalized audio cdrs and cdrws
mp3-cds (cd-roms with mp3 Å¢les)
1push the slider to open the cd lid.
2insert a disc, printed side up, by pressing gently on
the disc?s center so that it Å¢ts onto the hub. close
the lid by pressing it down.
3press 2;to start playback.
Reading CD is displayed. playback starts.
the track type (CD or MP3), the current
track number and the elapsed playing time are
displayed. for an mp3 track, the album number is
also displayed and the Å¢lename is scrolled twice.
4press9to stop playback.
the total number of tracks, the track
types (CD,MP3), the number of albums
on an mp3-cd and the total playing time
(of an audio disc only) are displayed.
5to remove the disc, hold it by its edge and press the
stop 15
hub gently while lifting the disc.[CDA]
notes:
after pressing 2; it may take some time until the
Å¢rst mp3 track is played.
20 seconds after pressing 9 the set switches off
automatically.
