This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

1 Set the POWER slider to CD.BAND255

2 Press / OPEN to open the lid.English
3 Insert an audio CD (printed side up) and close the lid.
a The CD player starts and scans the contents list of the CD.
Then, the CD player stops. Display indication: the totalCD
number of tracks.
4 Press the PLAYÃ¡PAUSE 2; button to start CD play.
a Display indication: the current track number.STOP
PLAY PAUSE
5 Press the STOP 9 button to stop CD play.REPEAT
SEARCH
a Display indication: the total number of tracks.SHUFFLE
PROGRAM
You can interrupt CD play by pressing PLAYÃ¡PAUSE 2;. Continue
CD play by pressing the button again.
a Display indication: the current track number flashes.

Note: CD play will also stop if:
Ä� you open the lid,
Ä� the end of the CD is reached, or
Ä� you move the POWER slider to TUNER or TAPE.
If you make a mistake when operating the CD player, or the
CD player cannot read the CD, the display shows E or no. (SeeCD
chapter Ã�TROUBLESHOOTINGÃ�.)
If you press PLAYÃ¡PAUSE 2; and there is no CD inserted the
