Removing Misfed Paper
When the Message "REMOVE Bypass tray
MISFEED FROM INPUT TRAY"
ACarefully pull the misfed paper.
AppearsMake sure that you do not leave
any misfed paper in the printer.
Standard Tray (Tray 1) or Paper Feed Unit
(Tray 2/3)
APull out the paper tray gently, be-
ing careful not to tear the misfed
paper, and remove the misfed pa-
per.
Make sure that you do not leave4
any misfed paper in the printer.TFWY180E
BWhen paper is left in the bypass
tray, remove the paper.
CClose the bypass tray, open the
front cover, and then close it to re-
set the misfeed condition.
DReload paper into the bypass tray.

NoteFRONT COVER REMOVE
r If your printer has an optional
paper feed unit installed, checkMISFEED" Appears
all paper trays for misfeeds.
R CAUTION:
BSlide the paper tray completely?When removing misfed paper,
into the printer.do not touch the fusing section
because it could be very hot.
Important
r Be sure to insert the paper tray
completely. Otherwise, mis-
feeds might occur, or the front
cover might touch the paper
tray.
COpen the front cover, and then
close it to reset the misfeed condi-
tion.
