This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

2. Software Version up Method
2-1. MAIN P.C.Board
1. Turn off the power.
2. Remove IC cover on bottom case.
3. Set the SW60000 as follows.
SW1, SW3 : ON SW2, SW4, SW5, SW6 : OFF
4. Replace IC60101 and then turn on power of the unit.
5. After confirmation of following messages on the counter led, turn OFF the power "Pg strt" "Prg good".
6. Turn on the power and then confirm software version on INFORMATION MENU screen. (see. Page INF-1)
7. Turn off the power and then set SW60000 to origin.

3. Confirm software version on INFORMATION MENU screen.
