SC120 may occur after:
- the copier was transported, or
- the scanner rear cover was removed and placed back on.
If either of these conditions occur, please take the following measures.
Causes :
1. If transporting AD-1 with the scanner in the home position, the scanner will hit the
HP sensor and the sensor will become unfastened.
2. If you happen to push the HP sensor after the scanner rear cover has been
removed, the sensor will become unfastened.
Measures :
1. When the problem occurs, make sure that the sensor is properly fastened.
2. Insert the additional mylar sheet between the sensor latch and the bracket if
necessary. (The part number is xxxxxxxxx.) This mylar sheet has been
incorporated into the production machines as follows.

How to set the mylar sheet :
Attach the mylar sheet as shown in the following illustration.
Caution :
1. Attach the mylar sheet after the sensor is mounted on the bracket.
2. Make sure that the latch for the sensor is properly inserted through the hole in
the mylar sheet. |
