This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

2.5 MEMORY IC REPLACEMENT
2.5.1 MEMORY IC
This TV use memory IC.
In the memory IC, there are memorized data for correctly operating for the video and deflection circuits.
When replacing the memory IC, be sure to use IC written with the initial values of data.
2.5.2 PROCEDURE FOR REPLACING MEMORY IC
PROCEDURE
SERVICE MENU
1. Power off2. V/C
1. IF
Turn the power off and unplug the power plug.3. AUDIO4. DEF
5. VSM PRESET6. VPS
7. SHIPPING(OFF)
2. Replace IC.
1-7 : SELECT i : EXIT
Be sure to use a memory IC written with the initial setting data.

Connect the power plug and turn the power on.

(1) Press the [INFORMATION] key and [MUTING] key on the
remote control unit simultaneously.3D
(2) The SERVICE MENU screen on Fig.1 will be displayed.INFORMATION

(3) While the SERVICE MENU is displayed, againP

simultaneously press the [INFORMATION] key and
[MUTING] key. Then display the SYSTEM CONSTANT
FUNCTION
screen as shown in Fig.2.RIGHT/LEFT

(4) Refer to the ?SETTING VALUES OF SYSTEMUP/DOWN

CONSTANT SET?, and check the setting items. Where
these differ, select the item with the [FUNCTION (UP/
DOWN)] key and adjust it with the [FUNCTION (RIGHT/
LEFT)] keys (The letter of the selected item is displayed in
yellow).
(5) Press the [OK] key to memorize the setting value.
(6) Press the [INFORMATION] key twice to return to the
normal screen.
7. SERVICE MENU setting
Verify what to set in the SERVICE MENU, and set whatever is
necessary. Refer to the ?ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE? for
setting.
