PROTECTOR OPERATION CHECKING

3. Check and turn T2300 counter-clockwise (Left)4) During the Collector & Emitter of Q853/4/5 short,
so that DC voltmeter appear 0V, then turn it clock-make sure the protector ON and switch to standby
wise (Right) so that DC voltmeter appear 5V.mode.
After that , turn T2300 counter-clockwise (Left)
until DC voltmeter appear 2.5 ? 0.1 Vdc.2H, V PROTEC-1) Receive "Monoscope Pattern" signal.
** UNIT BOARD ADJUSTMENTTOR2) Connect output of Bias Box to D602 cathode
(C602 positive).
Vcc5V ? 0.1Vdc3) Set voltage of Bias Box to 18V and make sure
the protector is not work.
IF Input Freq 38.9MHz ? 10KHz
4) Set voltage of Bias Box to 24.5V, and make sure
the protector is work.
Adjust T2300 until TP2300 (NICAM BOARD TEST
POINT) become 2.5 ? 10.1Vdc.
3OTHER PRO-1) Once finish rectified Electrolytic Capacitor short
TECTORtesting in +B line, check all possible damaged
Check after assembly NICAM BOARD
Test point: Main Board socket SC304 pin 1.components on +B line.
(Use random selected set for inspection)
Preset selected receptiion frequency (AFT OFF)
Check Voltage 2.5 ? 0.1Vdc.
Precaution: The Vcc, fo and other factors are
considered in the unit board of

the 1.0V tolerance which differ

2VIDEO AND1) Using the TV/VIDEO key on the remote control-
AUDIO INPUTler, make sure that the modes change in order of
CHECKTV, AV1, AV2 & TV again and the video & audio
output are according to the input terminal for each
mode.
3COMPONENT1) Connect YUV & Audio signal to Component In
IN CHECKterminal and Audio terminal.
2) Using the TV/VIDEO key on the remote control-
ler, press it until the modes change to
COMPONENT, confirm output is appear.
