First Time Setup (European Model Only)
Setting the Clock with the AccuClock Function (European Model Only)
To use the AccuClock function, the CD receiver must be able to receive RDS radio stations, which means an FM antenna
must be connected. Be sure to connect an FM antenna before attempting to use this function (see page 16).
The very Ţrst time you turn on the CD receiver, the AccuClock function automatically sets the CD receiverOs clock based
on the CT (Clock Time) information present in an RDS radio broadcast. While the clock is being set, OWait ashes
on the display, as shown. Note that it may take up to 5 minutes to set the clock.
When the clock has been set, the message OClock Adjusted scrolls across the display, then the day and time are dis-
played for a while, as shown.
The AccuClock function automatically updates the clock daily at 2 A.M., 3 A.M., and 2 P.M.
If for some reason the clock cannot be set automatically, see OSetting AccuClock to Use a SpeciŢc Station (European
Model Only) on page 47 and OSetting the Clock Manually on page 48.
