Talk about a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!! This schematic will also work for the Radio Shack DX-392. This is the full blown service manual complete with alignment instructions, schematics, and parts lists.

Contains mechanism diagrams, parts lists and schematics for all worldwide versions of DC-X88Z. Also includes remote schematic etc. A few non-essential pages are missing such as specifications. Includes the mechanical and electronic calibration instructions for the tape decks.

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

Another method :AutoStore
1Press the two NQ keys at the same time to select the INSTALLATION menu.
2Using the key, select the AUTOSTORE menu.
3Press the key to select the system WEST.EUR orEAST.EUR . This option is only available on certain
versions.
4Press the key to run AutoStore for all available programmes
SEARCHING appears. Searching lasts several minutes.
5When the search is finished, the INSTALLATION menu reappears. The programmes found are arranged by
number 69, 68, 67, Ã�etc. You may now renumber these programmes as you wish.
To renumber a pr ogramme:
1Select the MANUAL STORE menu using the key.
2Select the program to be renumbered using the Pkeys (or / ).
3Press the two NQ keys, the number flashes.
4Enter the programme number you want (Por / keys).
5Press the two NQ keys to store the programme under the new number.
STORED appears, the programme is stored.
Repeat the operation for each programme to be numbered.
To leave the INSTALLATION menu press the key twice.
Using the remote control
Press :Result :
Standb yThe TV set switches off, the light is red.
To turn on the TV set, press the Pkeys.
Pr ogrammeThe number is displayed on the screen, the previous (-) or next (+)
selectionprogramme is selected.
Numbered k eysThe number is displayed, the programme is selected. For a 2-digit
number, the second digit must be added before the line disappears.
VolumeVolume is changed.
MuteSwitches sound on or off.
Men uBy pressing the menu button several times the following items can be
adjusted : a (volume), 0 (brightness), 1 (contrast),
L(definition), 2(colour) and )(timer).
Menu adjustmentThis modifies the menu item selected. Using the timer) function, you
can adjust the time after which the TV set will automatically switch into
standby mode (up to 24 hours). If you put the TV set into standby mode,
it will turn itself on automatically when the time has elapsed.
StoringFirstly, display a menu : a,0,1,L, or 2, then press the two
of adjustmentsNQkeys. STORED appears. All menu adjustments are stored, except
for the timer.
PersonalRecall your stored adjustments.

time on the timer .
