Preparing for use
Hose
1 To connect the hose, push it into the appliance and turn it clockwise (fig. 1).
2 To disconnect the hose, turn it anticlockwise and pull it out of the appliance.
Tube
Conical coupling (specific types only)
1 To connect the tubes to each other and to the handgrip, insert the narrow section into the
wider section while turning it clockwise (fig. 2).
Use the same method to connect the accessories to the tube.
2 To disconnect, turn the tube or the accessories anticlockwise and pull.
Button coupling (specific types only)
1 Connect the tube to the handgrip (you will hear a click) (fig. 3).
Use the same method to connect the accessories to the tube.
2 To disconnect the tube from the handgrip, push the lock button and pull the tube out of the
handgrip.
The accessories are disconnected in the same way.
Telescopic tube (specific types only)
1 Connect the tube to the handgrip.
2 Adjust the tube to the length you find most comfortable during vacuum cleaning (fig. 4).
Nozzle
Combi nozzle
The combi nozzle can be used on either carpets (with the brush strips folded in) or hard floors
(with the brush strips folded out):
1 Push the rocker switch on top of the combi nozzle with your foot to make the brush strips
for cleaning hard floors come out of the nozzle housing (fig. 5).
2 Push the rocker switch on the other side to make the brush strips disappear into the housing
(fig. 6).
Tri-Active nozzle
� The Tri-Active nozzle is a multi-purpose nozzle for carpets and hard floors (fig. 7).
The side brushes catch more dust and dirt at the sides of the nozzle and allow you to clean better
along furniture and other obstacles.
Hard floor setting:
1 Push the rocker switch on top of the nozzle with your foot to make the brush strip come
out of the housing.At the same time the wheel will be lifted to prevent scratching and to
increase manoeuvrability (fig. 8).
Carpet setting:
2 Push the rocker switch again to make the brush strip disappear into the nozzle housing.The
wheel will be lowered automatically (fig. 9).
� The opening at the front of the nozzle allows you to effectively suck up larger particles. |
