CARING FOR YOUR REFRIGERATOR
Your refrigerator is built to give you many years of dependable service. However, there are a few
things you can do to help extend its product life. This section tells you how to clean your refrigerator
and what to do when going on vacation, moving, or during a power outage.
CLEANING YOUR REFRIGERATORwWARNING
Both the refrigerator and freezer sections defrost auto-
matically. However, clean both sections about once a
month to prevent odors from building up. Wipe up spills
immediately.
To clean your refrigerator:
YUnplug it.

YRemove all removable parts from inside, such as
shelves, crispers, etc.Use nonflammable cleaner.
YUse a clean sponge or soft cloth and a mild detergentFailure to do so can result in death, explosion,
in warm water. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners.or fire.
YHand wash, rinse, and dry all surfaces thoroughly.
