The keys on the remote control
Depending on the model, there are 2 different versions of the remote control.
Press:To obtain:
StandbyTo set the TV to standby mode.The red indicator
lights up.To switch the set back on, press P ,P

SelectBrings up the previous or following programme.
Programme
NumericalFor direct access to programmes
KeysFor a 2-digit programme number, the second digit
must be entered before the dash disappears.
On certain programmes,the title of the programme is
displayed for a few seconds at the bottom of the screen.
To view a programme which has been locked,you must
enter the confidential code number (see p.6).
ScreenHold down for 5 seconds to permanently display the
Informationprogramme number. Press quickly to display or
remove the programme number,the time and the
sound mode (stereo models only).
VolumeTo adjust the sound level.
MuteTo disable or enable the sound.
Smart soundTo access a series of settings:CINEMA,MUSIC,
controlsSPEECHand return to PERSONAL.
Smart pictureTo access a series of settings:RICH (when the room
controlsis very light),NATURAL (optimum conditions),SOFT
(when the room is very dark) and return to
PERSONAL.
MenuTo call up or exit from the menus.Use and
to adjust.
The menus disappear automatically after 30 seconds if no
further command is given.
Select EXTPress several times to select EXT sockets (see p.9).

NICAM is a process by which sound is transmitted as a
digital quality.
